Dr. Erica Urquhart was selected for orthopedic surgery residency at the Cornell University-affiliated Hospital for Special Surgery, an all-orthopedic hospital on Manhattan’s upper East side. While in her internship year, Dr. Urquhart receive a national research fellowship. And as a chief resident, Dr. Urquhart had her son, Amari while concurrently completing the requirements for graduation from residency. Additionally, she was recognized by the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation for her developmental biology research performed at Cornell University.
In addition to her roles as wife, mother and practicing orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Urquhart has continued to be involved in community service.
